BUSINESS LAW

Just ended my first lesson on Business law!

Initially i was very afraid of it, as law can be really dry and boring. Plus, i simply do not like lots of words, something i'm still trying to overcome. To read and memorise is a challenge to me, but i will overcome!

To my amazement, my new lecturer is a really pretty lady plus she is so charismatic. She is practically like my economic's lecturer Patrick! Presenting law in the most interesting and practical way for us to understand. It is really a blessing to have another lecturer like that.

I believe i'm going to love study law! God is really amazing, i found out that she is also a Christian and God really gives us the best lecturers that we can get. Studying PGSM is really the best choice i've made besides giving my life to Jesus. ^_^

Today my new lecturer Sarah, encourages us to speak up, since the Singapore education culture seems to be a "ask questions head down" thing... lolz... She shared that the children in France will be so eager to participate in class and even without the answer! Because instead of focusing on being afraid to be ridicule by the others if they got the wrong answer, they simply just want to participate!

That is seriously a cultural shock for her, but at the same time, something that we Singaporeans are losing out. She also shared that there was once her lecturer made a statement that goes: "You must have an opinion because you are a human being. Human are capable of making independent decisions." she then question us what do we want to achieve in 3 years time and the reason we are studying this degree course. Because she says that it is very important to know why we do the things we do, and to have plans in our lives. That is really so like what Pastors have taught us! To be confident, competent and successful in this society.

I will seriously get impacted and inspired each time when i get to talk to people like that. People who are full of confident and are purposeful in life. Like what Pastor Lia have shared, when we are with BIG people, though we may feel small or even intimidated at times, and perhaps uncomfortable, in a good way, it is actually an alert and reflection for us to move up another level, to be a person with a bigger heart.

Thus i'm really excited and forward looking for the next lesson and the PROCESS of studying in PGSM, because we have great lecturers who care, great atmosphere and inspiring motivation! Praise God!

Enter into the society, to be a generation of relevant and competent people who are holy for God.

Love God, Love People, Love Life,
Winnie
